    Short Snap (Field Goal)

For short snaps, the focus is accuracy and rotation. (It will be best if you record each snap on your phone then fill out the chart.)

Target: To set up the target, find a wall you can snap at. Measure 7 yards from the wall. Then, take tape or chalk and draw 2 circles. The smaller circle will be 16in from the middle of the circle to the floor. The circle’s radius needs to be 8in. Using the same center the second circle will have a radius of 16in. (See picture below)

Accuracy: For the short snap, if the ball hits inside the small circle, it's 2 points. Inside the larger circle is 1 point. Any other location is 0 points.

Rotation: For short snaps, it's important to have a tight spiral. If the snap has a tight spiral it scores 2 points. If the snap is not a tight spiral, it’s 0 points.

    Long Snap (Punt)

For long snaps, the focus is accuracy and speed. (It will be best if you record on a phone each snap, then fill out the chart.)

Target:To set up the target, find a wall you can snap at.  Measure 14 yards from the wall. Then, take tape or chalk and draw a rectangle. The height will be 24in tall and a width of 18in. The bottom of the target should be 16in from the ground (See picture below).

Accuracy: If the snap hits inside the target, it scores 2 points.  If it misses, it’s 0 points

Rotation: For long snaps, it’s important to have a tight spiral. If the snap has a tight spiral it scores 2 points.  If the snap is not a tight spiral, it’s 0 points.

    Flexibility: Sit and Reach

(Inches) While keeping the legs straight, reach as far a possible past your feet. Take a tape measure and measure from the bottom of the knee cap to the tip of your middle finger.

    Explosive: Broad Jump

(Inches) Stand behind a line, jump out as far as possible. Stick the landing. Use a tape measure to measure from the starting line to the heel of your foot where you landed.

    Explosive: Vertical Jump

(Inches) Stand perpendicular to a wall. Jump, touching as high as possible on the wall. Mark the spot with tape. Use a tape measure and measure from the floor to the spot touched.

    Core: Plank

(Seconds) On your forearms and toes, hold your body level to the ground as long as possible in a straight line. Use a stopwatch to measure how long you can hold this position.

    Speed: 40 Yard Dash

(Seconds) Measure with a stopwatch the time it takes to run 40 yards. Example: Start at the goaline and sprint to the near 40 yard line. Do this twice and record each time below.

    Quickness: Pro Agility 5-10-5

(Seconds) Measure with a stopwatch the time it takes to run a 5-10-5. Example: Start by straddling a yardline on the football field. Sprint to your left and touch the near yardline, then spring 10 yards and touch the line, then sprint through the line you started at. Do this twice and record each time below.
